MarginCall Guides Hub

How to trade, survive leverage, run production, and take companies public.

Guides Hub

This hub is the map for every MarginCall tutorial on the wiki. The game shipped on Steam for Windows on 19 August 2026 as a single-player simulation: a central limit order book on top of a living economy, with no difficulty slider and a margin monitor that will close you out when equity fails.

If the terminal already feels like a wall of panels, start with Getting Started. That page covers the opening bankroll, Life needs, and the first tickets you should place before you touch 20x leverage. Then read How to Trade so market, limit, stop-loss, and trailing-stop orders stop being folklore.

What these guides assume

MarginCall is not a Roblox tycoon and it is not a scripted chart with a buy button. Every tick is a match between a bid and an offer that someone actually posted. That is why new players ask, in Steam discussions, how to place a market order, where realised P/L lives, and why a bought index name might not show in a portfolio strip. The answers sit in mechanics, not in a hidden fair-value slider.

Use this hub as a routing table:

How to read the rest of the wiki

Guides explain procedures. Rankings live on the Tier List Hub, where playstyles, AI desks, and asset classes are scored for a fresh book. Interactive helpers sit on the Tools Hub. Launch-week patch notes and player-reported rough edges are on the Updates Hub. Official store and community URLs are on the Links Hub.

The same-category pages below interlink on purpose. If you came here from a search for how to play, how to get a fill, or how to beat a squeeze, pick the matching guide instead of rereading the store blurb. PC nav shows a short list and a View-all link when a category grows past eight entries — use the hub cards here when the dropdown truncates.

A note on accuracy

Functionally Human patches the simulation quickly. Ownership caps, nested subsidiaries, era-accurate crypto, and leverage behaviour all moved during the Sound Money and Digital Frontier updates. Treat in-game tooltips as law, and treat this wiki as a field manual that tracks those notes. When a Steam thread describes a portfolio bug, an Income-screen puzzle, or a missing forward P/E, we record it on known issues rather than pretending the UI is finished.

Play on Steam, keep cash that is not already posted as margin, and come back here when the book tries to teach you a lesson the expensive way.
